MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 7:30 PM

Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

A Motion to Open the Public Meeting was made by Trustee Im, Seconded by Trustee D’Angelo and called to Order by Mayor Ceriello at 7:32 pm and approved by all.

 OATH OF OFFICE

Trustee Williams was sworn into office for a two-year term.

NYCLASS

Chris Starr, Director of Investment Services, gave a presentation on NYCLASS which is a local government investment pool that allows municipal corporations to pool funds together to collectively earn interest on investments. 

Motion was made by Mayor Ceriello to approve the Municipal Cooperation Resolution (available in the minutes book at Village Hall) using the funds currently placed in a CD at Bank of Long Island, seconded by Trustee Williams, and carried as follows:

 MAYOR’S REPORT

 VILLAGE SPEED LIMIT

Mayor Ceriello reported that Cameron Engineering submitted their traffic study report (available at Village Hall) and based on their findings it was decided to lower the Village Speed Limit to 25 miles.   This local law 2 – 2023 will be voted on at the June 14th Board of Trustees meeting.

 KIMCO

Mayor Ceriello reported that KIMCO Realty has agreed to maintain and irrigate Munsey Park’s Village property along Northern Boulevard up to the Americana.    

 PUBLIC SAFETY

·         POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for March 2023 notes one Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, no Larceny-Auto incident, two Larceny (other than auto), no Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 24 summonses (21 Movers and 3 Parkers). 

·         JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for April 2023 notes total fines assessed in the amount of $3,785.00.

·         BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report notes that between June 1, 2022, to May 5, 2023, a total of 164 permits have been issued totaling $211,392.16 in Building Permit Fees.

 

Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello seconded by Trustee Williams and approved by all at 8:32 PM.
