MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 7:30 PM

Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

A Motion to open the Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, seconded by Trustee Williams, and called to Order by Mayor Ceriello at 7:31 pm and approved by all.

 MINUTES

A motion to approve the minutes for the September 13, 2023, Board of Trustees meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, Seconded by Trustee Williams and approved by all.

MAYOR’S REPORT

Mayor Ceriello updated the Board on the Kensett Road paving project.  James Antonelli, Village Engineer, will be submitting a road restoration agreement to be presented to National Grid. 

Next, renovation of Village Hall will commence next week starting with the installation of new windows.  Last, a house on Sully is considered an “as of right” subdivision which means it meets all the legal criteria to construct two legal lots. Currently, no plans have been submitted.  

NEW BUSINESS

Gate Application – 758 Park Avenue/Profestas Residence

Mayor Ceriello made a motion to approve a metal 4’X4’ gate on the east side of the home bordered by evergreen shrubs, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi, and approved by all.     

Light the Night

Mayor Ceriello made a motion to approve Light the Night which will take place on December 3, 2023, at 4:30pm, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and approved by all.

Proclamation

Deputy Mayor D’Angelo made a motion to approve the proclamation declaring October 19, 2023, as Arbor Day throughout the Village of Munsey Park, seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and approved by all. 

PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT

·         POLICE REPORT: The Police Report for August 2023 was presented by Trustee Williams, stating no Burglary-Residence, no Burglary-Business, no Robberies, no Larceny-Auto incident, 4 Larceny (other than auto), no Criminal Mischief incidents and a total of 73 summonses (59 Movers and 4 Parkers). 

·         JUSTICE REPORT: The Monthly Justice Report for September 2023 was presented by Trustee Williams with total fines assessed in the amount of $6,688.00.

·         BUILDING REPORT: The Building Report was presented by Trustee Williams, stating that between June 1, 2023, and October 13, 2023, a total of 61 permits have been issued totaling $53,386.00 in Building Permit Fees.

 

Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Deputy Mayor D’Angelo seconded by Trustee LiCalzi and approved by all at 8:22 PM.
