MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 7:30 PM

Mayor Ceriello led the Board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
A Motion to open the Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, seconded by Trustee D’Angelo, and called to Order by Mayor Ceriello at 7:31 pm and approved by all.
MINUTES
A motion to approve the minutes for the November 15, 2023, Board of Trustees meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello, Seconded by Trustee Im and unanimously approved.
MAYOR’S REPORT
Mayor Ceriello updated the Board on the Village Hall improvement project, which is nearing completion. The interior improvements have been completed and the landscaping is in progress.
The Mayor advised that National Grid has been in the Village marking and measuring roads for further natural gas line installation. He noted that National Grid has been on Park Avenue & Kensett and advised that he has been in contact with representatives of National Grid with regard to the Village’s expectations regarding the restoration of the roads after the project.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Trustee D’Angelo updated the Board on the state of the Village finances and budget projections. Trustee D’Angelo reported that the Villages finances were in good order and the budget projections were on target. While the Village Hall Restoration Project was slightly over budget, it will not have a negative impact on the overall budget projections.
PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT
There was no updated Public Safety Report, however a review of last month’s public safety report revealed no major criminal issues within the Village.
VILLAGE COURT UPDATE
The Village Court was discussed, and it was noted that traffic enforcement within the Village has increased in recent months.

The following proposed Local Laws were introduced by Mayor Larry Ceriello for consideration at a Public Hearing to be held at the January Board of Trustees Meeting on January 10th, 2024:
Proposed Local Law #1-2024: A local law amending Section 87-5 of the Village Code, entitled “Window Grilles.”
Proposed Local Law #2-2024: A local law amending Section 87-7 of the Village Code, entitled “Application for Permit.”
Proposed Local Law #3-2024: A local law amending Article III, Section 87-25 of the Village Code, entitled “Electrical Standards: Compliance with other laws”.
Proposed Local Law #4-2024: A local law amending Section 87-28, of the Village Code, entitled “Deposit to cover damage to Village roads, trees or any property during construction required”.
Proposed Local Law #5-2024: A local law amending Section 92-4(B) of the Village Code, entitled “Building Permits: Exemptions”.
Proposed Local Law #6-2024: A local law amending Article VI: “Non-Conforming Buildings and Uses”, Section 200-29 entitled “Regulations and Limitation” of the Village Code.
Proposed Local Law #7-2024: A local law amending Article VII: “General and Supplementary Regulations”, Section 200-31 entitled “Restoration” of the Village Code.
Proposed Local Law #8-2024: A local law amending Article VII: “General and Supplementary Regulations”, Section 200-33 entitled “Off Street Parking and Loading” of the Village Code.
Proposed Local Law #9-2024: A local law amending Article VII: “General and Supplementary Regulations”, Section 200-35 of the Village Code, entitled “Swimming Pools”.
Proposed Local Law #10-2024: A local law amending Article VII: “General and Supplementary Regulations”, Section 200-37 of the Village Code, entitled “Fences”.
Proposed Local Law #11-2024: A local law amending Article VII: “General and Supplementary Regulations”, Section 200-41 of the Village Code, entitled “Property Maintenance”.
Proposed Local Law #12-2024: A local law amending Article VII: “General and Supplementary Regulations”, Section 200-42 of the Village Code, entitled “Solar Energy Installations”.
Proposed Local Law #13-2024: A local law amending Section 139-2 of the Village Code, entitled “Maintenance of Grounds Required”.
Proposed Local Law #14-2024: A local law amending Chapter 200-24(B): “Other uses and conditional uses”.
Proposed Law #15-2024: A local law to override the tax levy limit established in General Municipal
Law § 3-c.
Copies of the full text of each proposed Local Law will be made available at the Village Hall upon request to the Clerk’s office.

A Motion to close the Board of Trustees Public Meeting was made by Mayor Ceriello seconded by Trustee Im and unanimously approved at 7:58 pm.
